Boldenone Cypionate is Boldenone — the same 1,2-dehydrotestosterone compound that forms the basis of Equipoise — attached to an eight-carbon cypionate ester instead of the standard eleven-carbon undecylenate ester. The active hormone is identical: a testosterone derivative with a C1-C2 double bond that reduces estrogenic conversion, lowers androgenicity (50 rating vs testosterone's 100), and preserves a strong anabolic signal (100 rating). The cypionate ester produces a terminal half-life of approximately 8-10 days — shorter than undecylenate's 14 days but longer than most other common esters, striking a balance between injection convenience and time-to-steady-state.

The mechanism of action mirrors Boldenone Undecylenate exactly. Boldenone binds the androgen receptor in skeletal muscle to promote protein synthesis and nitrogen retention, stimulates erythropoietin production to increase red blood cell mass and oxygen-carrying capacity, converts to estradiol at approximately half the rate of testosterone (via aromatase), and undergoes 5-alpha reduction to the weak androgen dihydroboldenone in androgen-sensitive tissues. The cypionate ester's somewhat shorter half-life means that stable serum concentrations are reached 1-2 weeks faster than with undecylenate, and clearance after cessation is correspondingly quicker.

The faster onset and clearance compared to undecylenate make it a better choice for researchers running moderately shorter cycles (10-14 weeks vs the 14-20 weeks typically recommended for Equipoise) or those who want to minimize the gap between last injection and PCT commencement. It remains a poor fit for short cycles or researchers seeking rapid results — Boldenone is a slow-building compound regardless of ester.

Administration is once weekly, with the cypionate ester providing stable levels across a 7-day injection interval. Standard research doses are 300-600mg/week, identical to Equipoise dosing. PCT can begin approximately 2-3 weeks after the final injection — a meaningful improvement over the 4-6 week wait required after Boldenone Undecylenate.
