PEG-MGF (PEGylated Mechano Growth Factor) is the polyethylene glycol-conjugated version of MGF, designed to overcome the primary limitation of native MGF: its extremely short plasma half-life of approximately 5-7 minutes. The PEGylation process attaches a polyethylene glycol polymer chain to the MGF molecule, shielding it from proteolytic degradation and dramatically extending its biological activity from minutes to several hours. This modification transforms MGF from a site-specific, timing-dependent compound into a systemically distributable growth factor with a practical dosing window.

The mechanism of PEG-MGF mirrors that of native MGF — satellite cell activation via the unique C-terminal E-domain signaling pathway — but the pharmacokinetic profile is fundamentally different. While native MGF must be injected directly into the target muscle within a narrow post-exercise window, PEG-MGF can be administered subcutaneously and distributes systemically, reaching all muscle tissue rather than just the injection site. This systemic distribution means PEG-MGF activates satellite cells throughout the body, making it more suitable for whole-body recovery protocols but less targeted than site-specific native MGF injections.

Research on PEG-MGF demonstrates sustained satellite cell proliferation, extended anabolic signaling windows, and improved systemic muscle recovery compared to native MGF. Reconstitute with 1-2ml bacteriostatic water. Administer via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, typically 200-500mcg per dose, 2-3 times per week. Unlike native MGF, injection timing relative to training is less critical due to the extended half-life. However, administering on non-training days may optimize the systemic signal by avoiding competition with the body's endogenous post-exercise MGF production. Store at 2-8C after reconstitution. The 5mg vial supports 3-8 weeks of research at standard dosing.

PEG-MGF is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder and must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water (BAC water) before use in a research setting.

  1. Clean the BAC water vial stopper and the peptide vial stopper with an alcohol swab. Allow to dry.
  2. Draw the required volume of BAC water into a sterile syringe (typically 1–3 mL depending on target concentration).
  3. Angle the needle so the water runs down the inside wall of the peptide vial. Avoid dispensing directly onto the powder.
  4. Do not shake. Gently swirl or roll until fully dissolved. Vigorous shaking can denature peptides.
  5. Refrigerate reconstituted solution at 2–8°C. Most reconstituted peptides are stable 14–30 days depending on compound.
